About Us

It takes more than books and classrooms to provide children with a good education. It takes educators who are willing to invest themselves in our children's future. Like any other large organization, our schools require business, financial, professional development, and technological resources to operate efficiently and effectively. That's where MCOE comes in.

Established more than 150 years ago by California's Constitution, MCOE provides vital resources to support the county's 24 school districts, two community colleges, and state university.

Our Mission

Our Bylaws

The mission of the Foundation is to build, support and expand Monterey County Office of Education programs and related services for Monterey County public school districts.

As an ongoing mission to empower our community’s youth, The Foundation @MCOE provides a nurturing environment for children to reach and fulfill their potential. We believe that all boys and girls should have a safe space where they can act like kids and grow up at the same time. Join us today to see how you can get involved.

The Foundation @MCOE aims to prepare young people in making the best life choices for themselves, their families and their communities. We aim to create a long lasting and positive impact on all of the community’s youth through our wide range of programs. We value honesty, respect, and responsibility - and go above and beyond to instill these values into the minds of our community’s youth.
